What is açaí?

Açaí (pronounced Ah-sah-ee) is an ancient berry which grows along the banks of the Amazon river on açaí palm trees. It’s about the size of a grape and has an incredible dense purple colour. This fully sustainable crop has been used as a staple food by indigenous tribes for centuries and is rapidly becoming one of the world's most sought after superfoods offering a combination of incredible taste with extraordinary health benefits.
